About Us

About us

I am a passionate doll collector and seamstress living in Australia with my husband and two children. Since my early 20s, living on very little money as a student, I have been hunting out great deals on rare dolls and adding to my own collection. Now I love sharing this with the world and sourcing and selling hard to find dolls from across the world to bring them to collectors’ homes.

Rhiella’s Dolls

My own personal collection spans more than 300 dolls from a range of different sizes and eras.

In the twenty plus years I have been collecting my tastes have shifted various times and I have learned to buy, sell, source and sew for a huge variety of dolls. My passions have focused and refined to the intrinsic beauty of the modern fashion doll and in particular the art and diversity of the dolls from Robert Tonner, as well as BJDs from Jamieshow, the underrated “Alex” by Madame Alexander and the stunningly beautiful Susie from R&D Fashion dolls. As well as these favourites, my collection and also includes Integrity Toys, Barbie, Gene Marshall, Daisy by Mary Quant and even the tiny 6″ Dawn from Topper Toys, who has become a muse for my sewing and spawned my popular line of “Rhiella’s Randomhouse” couture, which I sell through Facebook and sometimes Etsy. I am very approachable and happy to answer questions and offer advice; it is a real joy to share my expertise and passion.

I source and sell dolls from all over the world, to collectors across the world.

Who am I?

Rhiella

I am a collector, a 40-something, a teacher and a mum. You can call me Rhiella or Bonnie, I won’t take offence! I have a passion for dolls and house a large doll collection of my own and I am always interested in finding out about the newest dolls to be released as well as expanding my knowledge of the history of the fashion doll. My special area of expertise is the 16″ fashion doll like those released by Robert Tonner and the Gene Marshall line, but I also know a variety of other doll lines and sizes who I source, display and play with. As yet I have not managed to get either of my children excited by dolls, but they do enjoy looking at my collection.

What do I do?

My Mission

Through my years of collecting I have learned creative ways to source exciting dolls and I still get excited when I find a new auction house or a new doll I have never heard of. I like to share these dolls with my customers, as well as sharing information and advice. If you know of someone looking to sell a collection then you can also point them my way. I have often been frustrated by the number of sellers from America who will not ship their items outside of their country, so my mission has always been to make sure that location is not a barrier: wherever you are, I will ship to you, and I will aim to keep the postage cost as reasonable as possible.
