New Peaches n’ Cream Collector dolls

I was so excited when not only did Mattel but also American Girl decide to pay tribute to one of my favourite 1980s vintage Barbie releases: the iconic Peaches n Cream. This doll has an incredibly memorable fashion featuring a timeless peach gown and a fitted iridescent bust, along with a ridiculously over-sized boa. What a doll! Even better, this year’s release feature both the blonde and the brunette dolls. I haven’t had a new American Girl in quite a while, but this release drew me in and it was great to discover the different ways that Mattel and American Girl paid tribute to the original gal, while making some subtle changes along the way… not all for the better.
